EPHESIANS 6 TEACHES US ABOUT THE POWER AND PURPOSE OF THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD.
God doesn't promise a world free from trouble, but he does provide us with his armor, so we can stand firm against the enemy. Follow along with this Scripture prayer based on Ephesians chapter 6. Let the words strengthen and encourage you.
Dear God, I am tired and weary from battle. I need your strength to face today. Thank you for equipping me with the armor that will help me stand against attacks from the enemy.
“Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,” Ephesians 6:14 ESV
Lord, your belt of truth reminds me that I can stand on the certainty of your Word. I can trust your promises. The enemy will try to twist the truth to confuse me, but you are not the author of confusion. (1 Corinthians 14:33) You are the author and finisher of my faith. (Hebrews 12:2) May your breastplate of righteousness guard my heart against discouragement and despair.

“and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.” Ephesians 6:15 ESV
Psalm 94:19 reminds me, "When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy." Thank you for the shoes of peace. With them firmly in place, I can rest peacefully knowing my God is in control of every situation.
“In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;” Ephesians 6:16 ESV
Father, I hold up your mighty shield of faith over me and my family. No weapon formed against us will prosper. (Isaiah 54:17) Protect us from the enemy's attempts to infiltrate our lives by extinguishing any arrows thrown at us.
“and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,” Ephesians 6:17 ESV
And finally, thank you for your helmet of salvation. My future is secure through your son, Jesus. He is my Savior, and because of him I am free. May the sword of the Spirit, which is your Word, guide me every day. Thank you for your whole armor.
