How the Over It. book came to be

Uncovering our weaknesses and sharing our struggles can be hard. When God taps me on the shoulder and reveals a deep need in my life, instinct tells me to run into a place of seclusion and hide my struggle from the rest of the world.

This is how it began when God showed me that I’d been letting the voice of comparison affect my life for a very long time.

I tucked that little secret away, determined to keep it between me and God. No one else needed to know about it. But then I realized how many other women face this same obstacle. Through social media posts, articles, and blog comments, I started to see that I was not alone. In conversations with other women, I found a common thread.

We have all listened to the voice of comparison at some time in our lives.

And as these conversations gripped my heart and showed me the desire women have to quiet the voice of comparison, I knew I could not keep my struggle secret. God wanted me to share, and He wanted me to share in a big way.

I knew right away what this meant – putting my stuff out there for all to see, baring my hurts and exposing my inadequacies. But God assured me that through my obedience in this journey, He would be faithful. And oh, how He has.

God led me through a life-changing experience with study, research, observations, and more. Can I share something I discovered while walking with Him through all of this?

Women in Scripture struggled with comparison too.

It’s true. Some of these women – though not in the spotlight – found the keys to conquering comparison once and for all. But that’s not even the best part…

By overcoming comparison, they allowed God to use them to fulfill His great plan. I’d love to share with you what I learned from their experiences – and from my own.

I have to warn you though. It may not all be pretty and perfect. In fact, some of it’s downright embarrassing. But I’m OK with that. That’s the place we must come to if we want real change in our lives – change that will bring us to a deeper relationship with God and a stronger assurance of His plan for us.

So with all this in mind, can I ask you a few questions? Hold onto the first answer that pops into your mind…

HAS THE VOICE OF COMPARISON EVER CAUSED YOU TO QUESTION WHETHER OR NOT YOU MEASURE UP NEXT TO SOMEONE ELSE?

ARE YOU READY TO ERASE COMPARISON AND EMBRACE ALL GOD HAS FOR YOU?

WOULD YOU LIKE TO DIG DEEPER INTO GOD'S WORD AND DISCOVER MORE FROM THE LIVES OF WOMEN IN SCRIPTURE?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I invite you to come along with me. Every struggle, discovery, and lesson learned is recorded in a book being released on April 5th…

Over It.
